Cold foils

API pioneered the development of cold foiling technology as an innovative alternative to hot stamping foil. Using a specially developed lacquer/release system and a free radical UV-cured adhesive, ColdFOIL can be incorporated into a conventional web press rather than relying on specialist hot stamping equipment.

Cold foiling has benefits in terms of cost and speed, enabling foiling ‘in line’ and at full production speeds.

ColdFOIL is available in a wide range of golds, silvers and metallic colours as well as holographic patterns.
