PortaBio CompAir Core Recycle

Award winners in the Sunday Times “Green Company of the Year 2009”, API Laminates are implementing a range of measures to reduce the impact of their operation on the environment.

Responding to the drive from consumers for low impact packaging and the pressure on retailers to reduce land fill, API Laminates have developed a range of eco-solutions including Verdi, a film free metallised product and PortaBio, a silver metallised laminate board that is compostable and can be recycled.  Using FSC accredited materials, PortaBio is certified compostable to DIN Certco EN13432 whilst offering the promotional benefits of a sustainable Metpol board.

“Change is taking place across the business” says Andrew Stevenson, Managing Director. “ from the development of more modern energy efficient equipment,  recycling of factory consumables, waste segregation and a vehicle fleet that is currently 20% hybrid,  the environment is a real issue for everyone at API Laminates. Reducing our impact on the planet is an ethos embedded in the heart of our business”.
